Safe Banking Starts with Awareness

Customers are advised to remain alert while using digital banking, ATM cards, mobile banking, internet banking, and UPI services.

Fraudsters may attempt to steal confidential banking information through fake calls, phishing links, SMS messages, or social media scams.

The Bank never asks customers to share OTP, PIN, CVV, Password, ATM PIN, or Internet Banking credentials with anyone.

Important Security Guidelines

Never Share OTP or PIN

Never disclose OTP, ATM PIN, CVV, Password, or Internet Banking credentials to anyone.

Beware of Fake Calls

Fraudsters may pretend to be Bank officials and ask for confidential information.

Avoid Unknown Links

Do not click suspicious links received through SMS, WhatsApp, or email.

Use Secure Passwords

Always create strong passwords and change them regularly for online banking.

Check Bank Alerts Regularly

Monitor SMS alerts and account statements for unauthorized transactions.

Update Mobile Number

Keep your mobile number updated with the Bank for transaction alerts.

Digital Banking Safety Measures

  • Always use the Bank's official website and authorized mobile applications.
  • Log out properly after using Internet Banking or Mobile Banking.
  • Avoid using public Wi-Fi networks for banking transactions.
  • Install antivirus and security updates on your mobile and computer devices.
  • Do not save passwords or banking credentials on shared devices.
  • Verify UPI IDs and beneficiary details carefully before making payments.
  • Immediately report any unauthorized transaction to the Bank branch.

Common Banking Frauds

Fraud Type Description
Phishing Fake emails or websites created to steal banking credentials.
OTP Fraud Fraudsters trick customers into sharing OTPs for unauthorized transactions.
KYC Update Scam Fake calls or messages asking customers to update KYC through suspicious links.
UPI Fraud Fraudulent payment requests or fake QR codes used to steal money.
Remote Access App Scam Fraudsters ask customers to install screen-sharing apps to gain account access.

Customer Responsibilities

  • Keep ATM Card, PIN, Password, and OTP confidential.
  • Verify account statements and transaction alerts regularly.
  • Immediately block lost ATM cards or suspicious transactions.
  • Use secure and trusted devices for banking services.
  • Report fraud attempts or suspicious activities to the Bank immediately.
  • Read and understand banking terms and conditions carefully.
  • Co-operate with the Bank for KYC and security verification procedures.

Customers are advised to stay vigilant against financial frauds and cyber threats. The Bank never asks for confidential information such as OTP, PIN, Password, or CVV through calls, SMS, email, or social media. In case of suspicious activity, immediately contact your nearest branch.
